About this notice

This draft covers the KeepDrop Mac App and this product website. It separates documented local behavior from details that still depend on the final release and service providers.

Photos and folder access

Browsing and similar-photo analysis happen locally on your Mac. Your photos and videos are not uploaded as part of these workflows. KeepDrop works with folders you open; it does not connect to Apple Photos or iCloud Photos.

Opening a folder does not copy your originals into a new photo library. Confirmed Trash operations move original files to the system Trash. Removing a folder from KeepDrop does not delete its contents.

Local App data

Folder access bookmarks, favorites, review decisions, operation recovery records and preferences are stored on your Mac. Thumbnails, media indexes and similarity features are local caches. No account is required.

File timestamps support display and change detection. Available disk space determines cache budgets, and timing information supports animations and tasks.

Removing a folder ends its library registration without deleting originals or necessarily erasing historical App state. To permanently remove App state, quit KeepDrop before removing its local application data. Original media and the system Trash are retained separately.

Network activity and diagnostics

The current App does not upload media, metadata, file paths, usage records or other personal data to the developer. It contains no advertising, tracking or third-party analytics and has no built-in automatic updater.

Your operating system and any sync, backup or file services you use may process files under their own settings and policies. Their data practices are separate from KeepDrop.

This website

The current website contains no analytics scripts, advertising trackers, remote fonts, account forms or embedded third-party video player. Images and video are served with the site.

Your appearance choice is saved only in this browser so it carries across pages and visits.

To be confirmed. The production host is not selected. Before publication, describe hosting logs and any request metadata, their purposes, providers and retention. Recheck this notice if analytics, forms or payment services are added.

Support and privacy requests

When a support channel is available, send only the information needed to explain an issue. Avoid sending photo originals or unredacted personal file paths by default.

To be confirmed. Add the real privacy contact, the handling and retention of support messages, applicable request rights and how users can exercise them. No contact address is active yet.

Changes to this notice

The final notice will carry an effective date and be updated when relevant practices change. Material changes will be described alongside the updated notice.
